Project Settings
Every project has its own settings area. This is where you set its name, tune how it judges results, and connect it to other tools.
Opening Project Settings
- Click the gear icon near the bottom of the project sidebar.
- You land on the General tab. The full row of tabs runs across the top.
The tabs
Which tabs you see depends on your project's type. A Web Experimentation project (one that runs A/B tests on a website) shows all nine tabs below. A Feature Flag (a setting in your code that turns a feature on or off without a new deploy) project shows six of them. Three tabs need a website to make sense, so they're hidden on a Feature Flag project: Configuration, Snippet, and Origins.
Origins (Web Experimentation only): the list of websites allowed to load your snippet and open the visual editor for this project, up to 20. There's no separate guide for this tab yet.
Privacy: enter a shopper's visitor ID to erase or export everything A vs B stores about them, and see recent erasure and export jobs. There's no separate guide for this tab yet.
Three things that are not here
That's under Environments in the project sidebar, a separate item from Settings. It only appears for Feature Flag projects. A Web Experimentation project has no Environments item; use the Snippet tab above instead.
Those live under Audiences (the page listing your visitor segments), on its own Attributes tab, not under Settings.
Webhooks are set up once per organization, not per project. Find them under Organization Settings, then Integrations. See Webhooks to set one up.
Who can make changes
Each tab saves on its own, so you can update one part without touching the rest. Only team members with the Edit Project Settings permission can save changes. By default that's the Owner, Admin, and Developer roles.
